Become a Better Skier - Carving
Since the advent of the carving ski the learning period for most would be skiers has been greatly reduced. Many skiers ski down most slopes comfortably and competently on the carving skis, but not many skiers actualy use the ski to carve. It is a blunt but true fact that very few skiers experience the thrill of the 'tilt and ride', the sheer exhileration that the carving ski can offer.

In this Audio Visual presentation, Ian MacKellar of the Avoriaz Alpine Ski School assisted by colleagues from The Ecole de Ski Francais, Montriond and friends will take us through the basics and beyond the frustrating intermediate plateau to get us up and carving, identifying essential skills, Ian proves that carving is not the sole domain of instructors and racers! From beginner through to advanced Ian shows us that we all have the potential to become a better skier!

A co-production between Alpine Tracks and MAMedia; shot on location in Morzine-Avoriaz in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. Become a Better Skier - Carving is colourful, informative and illustrative.
