Pre-season short breaks to develop your skills to ski all the mountain, in all snow conditions are being offered in Tignes, France this September by Inside Out Skiing, the company that specialises in using unconventional snow venues (glaciers, indoor snow slopes) at unconventional times of year (summer, autumn...why not?) to offer tuition.
The company is working in partnership with Mountain Sun Holidays to offer a great value-for-money package of instruction, chalet board accommodation, airport transfer, lift pass and even free use of the latest test skis, with prices starting from a remarkable £149 for three days.
All participants need to do is book their own flights for the holidays which include three days of skiing on the glacier in Tignes, including three half-day ski lessons with personalised coaching and video feedback. There is a choice of a mid-week clinic from Tuesday 29th September to Friday 1st October or a weekend clinic from Friday 1st October to Monday 4th October.
The pre-season skiing in Tignes takes place on the Grand Motte glacier where there is a choice of steep red pistes, and moderate or gentle blues. Depending on snow conditions there might also be a black piste available.
Inside Out Skiing's pre-season Skills Development Clinics comprise three 2.5 hour coaching sessions, supplemented by video feedback either on the hill or at your hotel in the evening. In groups no larger than eight they will help participants develop the skills which underpin their skiing in all conditions.
Participants will stay in the Hotel Les Melezes in Tignes Les Boisses operated by Mountain Sun Holidays. It offers 21 rooms, most en-suite, with a sauna and outdoor hot tub, in-house ski rental and servicing, free wifi and a comfortable lounge/bar.
The Skills Development Clinics will be delivered by the same coaches who run Inside Out Skiing's programme at The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
